FBEMC Broadband for Business

Through a partnership with the Education & Research Consortium of the Western Carolinas Inc., French Broad EMC is now able to offer broadband Internet to businesses, school systems and other large organizations located within our Western North Carolina service area and near our fiber optic backbone. At this time the service is only provided for organizations/businesses requiring a minimum of 3Mbit of bandwidth. The service is not available for individual home users. The connectivity is provided via our fiber optic backbone which spans through the main towns located in Madison, Mitchell and Yancey Counties. The existence of our fiber optic backbone and our partnership with ERC Broadband allows us to offer considerable Internet bandwidth (up to an OC-3) at an affordable rate.
