FBEMC Broadband Internet Service
Through a partnership with the Education & Research Consortium of the Western Carolinas Inc., French Broad EMC is now able to offer broadband Internet to businesses, school systems, large organizations and some residents located within our Western North Carolina service area. At this time our business class fiber optic Internet service is only available for organizations/businesses requiring a minimum of 3Mb/s of bandwidth. The service is not available for individual home users. However, we do offer BPL (Broadband over Power Lines) Internet service to a small area near Marshall and will be expanding that service in 2011 and 2012 to additional customers in the Spring Creek and Laurel communities.
