Past Due Notice

This is a reminder that French Broad Electric will now be collecting any outstanding previous balance on the past due date which is displayed on your bill in the upper left hand box under delinquent notice. The Due Date for Current Charges on your bill applies only to the current charges. Please make sure your payment is received by the Delinquent Notice Date to avoid an interruption in service.

Historically, our meter readers have collected on the day when they read the meter. However, now that our Automated Meter Reading System is fully deployed, we now only send our meter reading staff to collect on delinquent accounts and will be doing so in a more timely fashion. Keep in mind that once your service is disconnected for Non-payment, a customer will have to pay the total balance due on the account plus service fees plus a $500 deposit. In lieu of the deposit, any member can choose to switch to French Broad Electric's Flex Pay plan, paying for the electricity before you use it.

* In addition to our standard payment options of cash, credit card or check at our Marshall office you may also pay by credit card or echeck through our website. You may also make credit card payments with no convenience fee by phone at 1-877-768-4860.
** If using online bill pay through your bank please be aware that there can be a delay of 7 days or more before FBEMC receives your payment which may result in late fees or disconnection of service.
