NC Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, DC
High School Juniors
Every year, French Broad EMC sends two high school juniors on an all expense paid trip to Washington, DC for a week in June. They travel from Raleigh with approximately 40 other juniors from across North Carolina and meet up with over 1,500 more in DC from all across the United States.

You can win this trip! Winners are selected based on their community and school involvement, their application and 250 word essay, and a personal interview with a panel of judges.
Applications are available from school guidance counselors or you can print one here. The application deadline is February 11th. To be eligible to apply you must currently be a junior and you must live in a home with electricity provided by French Broad EMC.
Youth Tour winners will be eligible to apply for the GWYN B. PRICE SCHOLARSHIP and the KATIE BUNCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP in December of their SENIOR year. For more information, call Sam Hutchins at 828-649-2051.
