75th Annual Meeting - Set for May 7th|
Health Fair, Amazing Door Prizes, and Kids Zone Highlight Afternoon Activities
An important event for French Broad Electric Membership Corporation will take place when the cooperative holds its 75th Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 7th at Madison High School in Marshall. The cooperative’s members will meet to elect directors and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and activities. Members should register upon arrival to be eligible for the door prizes. Registration will begin at 3:00 p.m.
The popular Health Fair with free medical screenings and information from area health care providers will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Award winning magician and illusionist Tom Hughes will be entertaining during this same time as he wanders through the crowd. The featured entertainment will be The McKameys. The Madison County Shoes and Clothing Fund will be selling a meal during the afternoon as a fundraising event for the purchase of shoes and clothing for disadvantaged youth.
A brief business session will follow the entertainment at approximately 6:00 p.m., during which General Manager Jeff Loven will speak.
At the end of the business meeting, there will be drawings for prizes. The member, his or her spouse, or the qualified representative of a church or business entity must be present to win.
Each member was mailed a copy of the Annual Report which contained your registration card. You are encouraged to bring this card with you to simplify registration. If you failed to receive an Annual Report, copies are available at each FBEMC office. All members and their families are urged to come and take part in the activities as well as to demonstrate their ownership in the cooperative by attending the annual meeting.
