French Broad EMC now offers an Automatic Bank Draft payment option so you will no longer need to worry about writing a check and mailing it in to pay your electric bill each month. The Automatic Bank Draft payment option allows you to authorize French Broad EMC to deduct your monthly electric bill from your checking account.

Signing Up For Bank Draft
To sign up for the bank draft service you must only meet one requirement. Your electric service account must have no returned checks within the past 12 months. If you meet this requirement all you need to do is complete the request form below and include a voided check from your checking account or a deposit slip if you choose to have your payment drafted from your savings account. Your bill will still be mailed to you each month, as before, to give you information concerning your kilowatt-hour usage, as well as the bill amount. Once you have been approved for the automatic bank draft service we will contact you via phone or email to confirm the approval. In addition, a notation will be made on your next bill stating *** Bank Draft – No Payment Required ***. Until we contact you and you see this notice on your bill, you should continue to pay your bill as usual. Your bank account will be charged on the “Due Date” that appears on your bill.
